Who is Justin Kan?

My name is Justin Kan. This is a brief summary of what I'm about.

I'm currently the founder of Exec, a platform for iPhone and the web that allows anyone outsource their jobs or errands in real time for $25 / hour.

Prior to Exec, I founded Justin.tv, the world's most awesome live video site, where I am still on the board and an advisor. Justin.tv is a venture backed, Y Combinator funded company based in San Francisco that was created by myself and my friends Emmett Shear, Kyle Vogt and Michael Seibel.

At Justin.tv I work day to day on TwitchTV, where we're focused on being the biggest gaming video community on the web. Previously, I started our internal project which turned into Socialcam, which is the easiest and fastest way to share videos from your Android or iPhone. Our mission is to let everyone in the world share the moments they care about with their family and friends.

I am a part-time partner at Y Combinator.

I also founded Saboteur, a clothing line for men. Together with my friend Kristen, we developed a completely waterproof, breathable wool blazer called the Invincible.

Before Justin.tv, I founded Kiko, the world's first AJAX calendar. We sold this on eBay in 2006 for $258,100. Emmett and I started Kiko from our dorm rooms at Yale University in 2005, where I made many lifelong friends but retained almost nothing about Physics and Philosophy, which I studied.

I'm no stranger to the press. Here are articles about Justin.tv, TwitchTV and Socialcam. Inc Magazine did a profile of me in 2010 that made my parents very proud.

I am an advisor to Founder's Den, a great coworking space for startups to work out of in SF.

I like thinking about ideas, entrepreneurship, business strategy and execution tactics, but at heart my favorite thing is to get out, get moving, and do stuff. I'm a pretty bad programmer, a decent web developer, and occasionally a great motivator. I love crazy ideas (Justin.tv started as a reality show featuring yours truly).

I also love helping people succeed, especially in startups and entrepreneurship. Part of what has gotten me to where I'm at has been the many successful entrepreneurs who have come before me. Let me know how I can help you.

And now, for pictures of me (the first one is awesome, the last two are corporate):
